Spring... sigh...

"Spring" is the theme for the UWIB blog hop this month, but I'm having a tough time coming up with something to blog about.

It's hard to think about Spring when the morning shows frost on the grass and temps in the 30's... but the birdies are still singing up a storm, and the sun rises bright in a blue, blue sky. I know it's getting here... just in tiny steps.

These are NOT the birds who sing, but they're all over the place around here. ;)

Yes, it snowed the other day... snow does not obey the stop sign!

This is actually a hard time of the year for me... I'm prone to depression in the spring. I feel tired all the time, and I'm cold, and definitely lazy, so even though I have plenty of things I should be doing, or making, I'm eating and sleeping too much... is that what spring fever is?

I know it's not much, but I DID at least change my blog background to look more "springy". ;)

So, I know this is kind of rambling/blathering, but my fellow UWIB gals are a great bunch, and I'm gonna go and visit their blogs and see what they've come up with. :)

Have a look, they're all listed right here.

I loved your blog, you got my attention at the get go with the wild turkeys! They are rather new to our area, and I am fascinated with them.
I know spring is going to pop any day now and you will be chirping like a bird:)

Sorry the weather is getting you down. I found working under full spectrum OTT light on a daily basis helps me enormously.

I love the turkeys! We sometimes see them in the coastal mountains and discovered that my DH can TALK to them! (He apparently offended them! LOL)

It's a great post Linda! The turkeys are awesome and the snow - well, not so awesome. Even though the calendar says its spring, I agree whole heartedly that it certainly doesn't feel like it. I still have hope though that it might come - someday, that is!!

those birds in the first photo are huge! I'd be scared to go outside with them lurking!!! Here in Nebraska it snowed yesterday, but beautiful today - go figure.

I hope that spring brings you great sales!

Hey Linda Lou - you can run, but you cannot hide. I have found you and am stopping by to bring you warm greetings from rainy Atlanta. I love your pictures, although, I would be petrified if I came face to face with one of those big birds. And the snow, well, June will be here soon. Come visit all of us, and we'll add some sunshine to a dreary day. OK, Sunshine?

Where is spring anyway? I am so tired of shivering in the cold at 6 am.
I think the Beatles said it best :)

Little darling
It's been a long, cold, lonely winter
Little darling
It feels like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's alright

Little darling
The smiles returning to the faces
Little darling
It seems like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's alright

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes

Little darling
I see the ice is slowly melting
Little darling
It seems like years since it's been clear

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun and i say,
It's alright

I feel your pain- we are still in the 40's with no rise in temp in sight. Just got another oil delivery, ugh. Anyway, hopefully good weather and flowers will start popping up in the Northeast soon.

Well you are suppose to 'feed a fever', aren't you?
When the flowers get there, you will start to feel the color:)

It would be depressing to wake up to MORE snow after seeing the calendar change AND posts by others enjoying warmer temps. I bet you have a fabulous Spring once it's sprung!

Thanks for all the lovely comments, ladies.
Once again, the UWIB blog hop was a blast!

As it happens, today the temp climbed to a spring-like 52 degrees of sun-shiny goodness. Life is good. :)

Linda :)

I live in VT and we have a gazillion turkeys here too. I grew up in Mass and spent every summer on the cape. It's a great place.

I'm patiently waiting on spring too. It's on the way....

Great blog. Thanks for sharing.
